These libraries are part of architect/graphic designer/photographer John Locke’s urban intervention project called the Department of Urban Betterment. Within six hours of his first library installation, all the books disappeared and the plywood was gone within ten days. So in order to try and avoid this, he’s installed new libraries in more visible areas and has added a visible logo on the bottom spine of each book. Click through to view more images.
